In the game, a player got hit by an IB for 2400! That got we thinking. It's not just IBs, it's lots of classes that seem to be putting out that kind of damage. Shadow warriors seem to ding me for 2-3k fairly regularly. Sorcs and BWs do tons of damage.

Slayers are crazy. Maybe black orcs do less. Maybe. Even blackguards, if specked right, seem to pump out the damage, now. On average, our WE might crit someone for 1200, but never more than 1600 and we have to be really lucky to get 1600. 1000-1200 is more the norm on crits. 500-700 is more the norm on non-crits.

Most of the classes(Warhammer Gold) can actually get DPS numbers when they spec for it. Oftentimes, those DPS numbers are higher than a WE. At the same time, any given class should be losing something for doing this. The big tank hits are often coming from stacking offensive rather than defensive tactics, for example, making them more like the MDPS they're hitting like.

So, We think that if a class is speccing for its role, the WE is pretty consistently a "DPS" class compared to the other "not DPS" classes. There's a few points where this seems exempt, but we know where the standouts are and gripe about them all the time.
