White Lions are definitely more high adrenalin than the SM. Again, like all High Elf classes, the WL tends to fall in the good enough category for role, lacking the big time numbers a WH can put out, and not quite the fit that a Slayer has for the MDPS role, but still a tad hardier than both. Plus, the WL has those quirky abilities that really give the class its flavor and its a much more unique experience than the unique, but slightly less unique SM.

High Elves are neither remarkable in the big two areas considered good power- CC and AoE. We tend to be lacking in both as a race. Both might contest this, but look at the rest of the greenskins fer cryin out loud!. some plyers wouldn't choose any High Elf class if the desire is for CC or AoE, so you also need to toss out any ideas of being in aelite level premade.

Solo, though, is a fair option for either class, favoring the WL in small scale, open field, while the SM will do better in pitched battles. For base mechanics- also consider the SM's balance mechanic, which is really just a hindrance more than anything else. If you hate the mechanic then skip the SM. And finally, appearance considerations. Pick the one you think looks cooler.
